Great with people, dogs, and even cats!
Baxter’s story is one of resilience. When we found him, he had a badly broken front leg and needed emergency surgery. Thanks to a metal plate and screws, his bone healed beautifully. Today, he’s fully recovered — no limp, no pain, just a happy boy enjoying life.
Personality
Baxter is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly bright. At first, he might take a moment to get to know you, but once you’ve gained his trust, he’ll be your most loyal friend. He absolutely loves human company and thrives on companionship.
In the play enclosure, Baxter’s curious side comes out — he’ll carefully inspect every corner as if searching for an escape route . We’re not sure if it’s the Akita in him or simply his memory of once being free on the streets, but it shows just how thoughtful and clever he is.
Special Note
Baxter still has the pins and metal rod in his leg, but no further treatment is required. He’s strong, healthy, and ready for his forever home.
The Perfect Home for Baxter
Baxter would love a family who can give him the love, patience, and companionship he craves. With his gentle nature and friendly personality, he’d be a wonderful addition to almost any home.
